To my surprise, I was encouraged to pursue the idea and led the team to source, entitle, finance, build and manage a 600 room resort hotel with 50,000 square feet of meeting space, 36 holes of golf and permits for over 1,000 residential units.
The Westin Rio Mar was a success for Tishman (since sold and rebranded to Wyndham) and over the next few decades as we expanded our platform and pivoted through cycles, we have evolved as investors and developers while maintaining our core DNA.
The Tishman platform embraces opportunity, collaboration and creativity. One that encourages and supports multi disciplines in unique ways to source and perform on deals.
